我今年申請上了紐約大學帝勢藝術學院。一直以來我都非常喜歡數字媒體與電影制作。在我大學的申請準備中，我創作了第一部關于探索家鄉上海的紀錄片。受到上海城市快速更迭的吸引，我希望能通過老一輩人與Z時代年輕人兩個不同的視角來講述城市故事。影片的編輯風格也試圖在突出這兩個群體人本身的對比，因而延伸至城市變革的對比。在將近三個月的時間里我自己負責了制片、導演、拍攝、選角的所有步驟。同樣在我創作的《我舞蹈因為我悲傷》這部短片中，選擇以一位舞者為主角。兩部作品我都嘗試探索不同的電影制作過程的美學風格，以一種平靜、緩慢的節奏循循漸進的講述我想表達的故事。

I am accepted by Collaborative arts in Tisch, NYU. I am always very interested in digital media and filmmaking. Therefore, throughout my application process, I have created my first documentary piece exploring my hometown Shanghai. I am always fascinated by the idea of gentrification within the city. Therefore, I have created this documentary exploring the idea of gentrification via the perspective of visual story telling from two generation. The Older generation vs GEN Z. The editing style within my film also reflected the contrast between the two groups of people. I have produced, directed, shot, casted my film myself over a span of 3 months. As for my other short film ‘ I dance because I am lost’， it is based on a dancer. I wanted to experiment the different use of aesthetic within film making therefore documentaries are used very calming and slow pace as well as following a narrative approach.
